[Feature request] Single file uploader should be available globally as product attribute

Description

The product presentation in the frontend is the most important part of any store. Unfortunately, there is no possibility to add images to the articles individually without customizations. The existing image rolls are sufficient in some cases, but not effective enough. Also the images rolls mainly target the area of the product gallery or the list view. The image rolls are always set to the first image, which is ineffcient for article management (https://github.com/magento/magento2/issues/38695). In my opinion, implementation via Pagebuilder makes no sense within API interfaces.

Expected behavior

New product field “single upload file” which can be created directly in the product attributes

Benefits

• Thanks to the changes, there are many more possibilities to set up the frontend as required without having to do a lot of programming.
• You can also insert images that do not belong to the product galleries but are still relevant to the product.
• These changes would allow better API sychnizations to be made, for example, through the existing PIM system Akeneo or PimCore or ERP systems
