Unassigning an attribute from an attribute set silently deletes all values for that attributes #38824

Additional information

Anecdotally, when encountering this unanticipated behaviour I enquired around if unassigning an attribute from a set caused the data values to be lost. All respondents incorrectly stated that this did not happen.

This indicates that users do not anticipate the default behaviour to cause data loss and that the form does not adequately communicate this risk.
