Unable to (re?) setup extension

Im really not clear on the conditions that cause this but end result is I cannot setup the extension. I had it previously installed as the FB version, removed that completely (and tried removing connections on FB side of things) but now after going through setup I am left with "Connection Pending" forever.

I dont see anything helpful in the logs, browser console, etc.

Thanks for any help.

Ps. Im having same result on another site that is actually still using the FB extension, but I had hoped that updating to this one would solve it but neither completes. This issue is for the meta one.

Preconditions (*)

1. v1.0.1
2. Magento 2.4.4

Steps to reproduce (*)

1. Have an existing FB Page, Catalog, Pixel that was previously connected using old FB extension.
2. Remove all connections FB event manager
3. Try to setup meta extension

Expected result (*)

1. Setup completes

Actual result (*)

1. Setup remains stuck on "Connection Pending"

Some combination of removing connections, logging out of everything, clearing cache etc seems to have solved this. Sorry for the bother.
