There are some tips in this guide I created http://mozilla.github.io/learning-networks/clubs/events-women-girls-guide/#introduction
Things to think about: •With the change in your group dynamics it will be important to do a lot of work to create a safe/comfortable working space. Code of Conducts, behaviour expectations, introductions, get-to-know-each-other icebreakers are all ideas. •Specific for women: small groups allow for the greatest participation from everyone. As does defined roles in those groups. •Assigned mentors or people in support roles for each group •I've been using this facilitation method recently where people who know how to do something pair with people who don't know and they teach each other (as a facilitator it's easy to run but it's a good idea to set parameters that help the teacher)
Overall best practices/ strategies to promote team work and project management among folks that don't know each other
