Japanese translation #7

Add Japanese locale as asked in https://github.com/jurialmunkey/skin.eminence.2/issues/123 by @onword

@onword I've created the https://github.com/maghiel/skin.eminence.2/tree/7-japanese-translation branch for you, with a pot file based on english.

I don't know your skills, knowledge etc :) Or if you prefer another language to translate from.

So, don't get offended if you already know! Basically what you need to do is: Edit https://github.com/maghiel/skin.eminence.2/blob/7-japanese-translation/language/resource.language.ja_jp/strings.po Easiest way is to use an editor like https://poedit.net/ Don't worry about the compiled binary, we don't need it. If you don't know how to use git, just download the file, edit it, and attach it here.

Let me know if you need any help, and foremost, thanks in advance for contributing!

This is my first time trying something like this, so I appreciate the guidance. I'm a native English speaker with Japanese as a second language. My wife is native Japanese (aka the cavalry). So Japanese language isn't the hard part, context and specialized language for IT (e.g., software) is, as I naturally don't use a lot of this Japanese, like "Show shadows on panels" on a daily basis 🙂. I will do my best and attach the file here when finished.

Do you have a deadline you need this by?

There's a first time for everything! No worries :) I too struggled with the translation to dutch (which my native language is) and I'm sure there's plenty of errors in it. I'm hoping that if people actually use it they will point out the mistakes. A small tip: run kodi while translating, so you can see the context. Also keep in mind that although we base of english it doens't mean it is 100% correct! Since your native language is English don't hesitate to let me know where you find errors.

There is no deadline. My goal is too keep this skin alive and make it as pleasent as possible for anyone using it!
