Removing duplicate code #220

I'll be adding more to this, but wanted to get this up for now, in case there is interest.

Wonderful! I wasn't sure if this repo was still active; I have one other PR that adds two new commands, listunion and listdifference that do what they sound like (list union = adding the contents of one list to another; list difference = removing the contents of one list from another). I'll try and get that up as a PR soon (along with more code cleanup in a separate PR).
