Soft bounces marked as unsubscribed #27

Is there a way to configure this so that the users aren't unsubscribed in general, but still marked as soft bounces in the statistics?

I already tried troubleshooting the max-soft-bounce settings in the admin but doesn't look like it works for the API.

I've read the description and open issues to no avail. Hope it's a quick fix or you can point me in the right direction to make the code changes myself if it's not just a setting. :)

And thank you for making this plugin, saved me a lot of time. :)

Can you provide more details? I do not see this on 1.5.7. See also https://github.com/magicdude4eva/port25-bouncehandler/issues/17#issuecomment-400404409

i have this same problem. a user of the platform has a 40k database of really good customers with a very high open rate. somehow maybe due to the html or a link reputation he had a ton of bouces. next day his list went from 40k subscribers to 20k and his open rate from more than 25% to 2%. the server is not blacklisted so i went to check and in fact all 20k emails went to "unsubscribed" state. i compared the unsubscribed table with the list and restored them, yesterday he emailed and he had no 20k unsubscribes. but this is problematic since people are being removed as unsubscribe not as bounce. i also have the latest version of everything, mailwizz etc.

@magicdude4eva any solution about hard bounce automatically Unsubscribed. i am using MailWizz version 1.5.7 & PowerMTA 4.5 ,
