It is advertised as a kw meter so it has to take power factor into account. (In my opinion, if it doesn't we all made a bad purchase).
Probably a question for emporia energy support (they are pretty responsive).
On one hand I think yes.. but on another hand I don't believe readings when I have an inductive load running... (kw too high)... but I haven't put real test equipment on to verify (have to borrow).
But then on the other hand, readings are tracking kind of close to utility company meter readings for my uses... so...
