See hn comments about alternatives, doesn't really matter which one.

Blade does look pretty cool.

get a VM running, set up a Java web framework and see if you can get a web page going.
post it to your AWS if feeling good, create issue for that.

this is not needed any more, but leaving ticket open because if I ever wanted to learn MVC web applications and java (+Maven) projects this would be a good way to learn.
