Is MacFUSE Core.pkg suitable for remote installation via ARD (Apple Remote Desktop) and the like? #182

Predicting deployment of MacFUSE in lab environments and the like...

Is MacFUSE Core.pkg suitable for remote installation via ARD?

I know that many packages or metapackages _appear_ to install without error,
from the perspective
of the ARD administrator, but the absence of an error at the ARD
administrator's console does not
_always_ equate to a working or error-free installation at the target.

1) I have used Apple Remote Desktop to perform a few installations of
MacFUSE 0.3.0 (installation package) and
MacFusion 1.1 (application bundle).
No problems.

2) I was advised that in certain circumstances, a metapackage is preferable to
a package ... whilst I can't find the
comment itself, I think I recall who made the comment. If I find it I'll let
you know. In the meantime, everything
seems to be fine.

I'm not aware of anything I do with the packaging that would matter here. If
you run into any specific issue, we
can talk about that.
