Offline maps cause crash on HTC Hero #90

I have created a BigPlanet sqlite database using Mobile Atlas Creator and
copied the file to my phone, an HTC Hero running Android 1.5.

The map displays normally, but after a period of time the application crashes -
saying "The application RMaps (process com.robert.maps) has stopped
unexpectedly".

It is sometimes possible to restart the program (by pressing "Home" key and
selecting RMaps) but sometimes not; in this case the only way to enable the map
to work is to restart the phone.

I am aware of issues with Android and SD cards in general (mine is a 16GB micro
SD) but the .sqlite file appears to be showing up normally in Astro file
manager and in the RMaps preferences screen.

The version I am using is the latest version 0.8.3.1

This has happened to me as well, Dunno if memory leak, signs of this about to
happen are, offline map stops loading. One way for me to resolve is to use task
killer to kill then restart rmaps
