Eledpar and non-arabic-regular-footnotes causes error #121

Closed pharos-alexandria closed 11 years ago

pharos-alexandria commented 11 years ago

In my document I use alph-regular-footnotes. As I have more than 24 footnotes I use the perpage.sty. This test document causes an error (which was not there with ledpar):

:-)

maieul commented 11 years ago

no, there is a problem :-(

pharos-alexandria commented 11 years ago

Yes, I see. All normal footnotes get the letter of the last footnote in the apparatus, i.e. »r«. This also happens with eledmac loaded only (without eledpar).

maieul commented 11 years ago

I have found a way to correct it, but it implies a little break compatibilty, for user which customize their low-level command.

That means it won't be in the version 1.4 of eledmac, but, at least, on the version 1.5, or 1.6 (I'm waiting the output of the next version of imakeidx to output version 1.5 of eledmac).

I will make the change this night

maieul commented 11 years ago

could you test the branch https://github.com/maieul/ledmac/tree/compteur ? it should solve this problem, and #120, without break compatibility.

maieul commented 11 years ago

for the reset of counter at each page, you should see my commit e895cf1

it will prevent the message Counter too large

pharos-alexandria commented 11 years ago

Test failed: The file compiles, but with eledpar I still have all footnotes in the apparatus as footnote “r” and with eledmac only (your file toto.tex) all but the last footnote (“r”) have “q” in the apparatus.

pharos-alexandria commented 11 years ago

With status as of e895cf13dc8f80c83b94aa20ca7adc4277c56420 it now seems to work. I'll test now with my real-world-file.

maieul commented 11 years ago

say me when it's ok

pharos-alexandria commented 11 years ago

It seems to work, too. Only an issue with \MakePerPageis left, as @addtoresetis not reliable, cf. http://www.tex.ac.uk/cgi-bin/texfaq2html?label=addtoreset

maieul commented 11 years ago

Ok for the code>@addtoreset</code and code>@addtoreset</code, but it's not a specifique problem with eledmac/eledpar...
