I can't tell you when I will have time to look on it

I am making a critical edition using eledmac and eledpar. The bulk of it is in verse, each verse having two lines. There are also parallel texts, in columns.
What I want to do is to have none of the verses split between pages, so that the first line of a verse is on one page and the second on another. For some reason eledpar makes it so that when I have two parallel texts in columns, the verses end up getting split, even if I use the \setstanzapenalties command. For the MWE I used verses in six lines as this way it's easier to get a split verse.

OK, thanks.
personnale notes: après discussion avec Daniel, il faudrait sans doute qu'à la troisième lecture, les vers qui ont marqués au 2nd run comme "sans rupture" soient à nouveau marqué comme "sans rupture" dans le fichier numéroté.
A tester
Isn't this the same problem -- with hopefully the same solution -- as I pointed out back in time, that widow- and clubpenalties are ignored in ledpar
? (Cf. #48)
Like in the following where there are orphans on pp. 2/3 and widows on pp. 6/7:
\documentclass[fontsize=13pt,paper=a6]{scrbook}
%\clubpenalty = 10000
%\widowpenalty = 10000
\usepackage{reledmac}
\usepackage{reledpar}

With ledmac
without ledpar
setting the penalties to 10000 unfailingly changes the layout; in the above example nothing happens.
it is a related problem, but not the same.
Peter Wilson has decided to ignore penalty in ledmac/ledpar. We could reintroduce them, but as optional only. I am afraid that will be to complex, and break manything.
When I have documents with very long sections within the same pair of {pages}
, manually breaking the problematic pages is possible but rather time-consuming, as it needs several TeX-runs to settle. So I'd be really glad if there were penalties or a similar mechanism, at least for widows, which are typographically unacceptable. But you are the one to judge whether it comes at too high a cost with regard to time or other functions. (I guess I could just add \lednopb
to all ends of sections and live with extra lines.)
In any case you could perhaps consider adding a sentence about ignoring the penalties to the first part of reledmac
's manual…?
honnestly, I don't know when I would have time for reledmac.
