I am not sure if I fully understand what you need.
You can find license information in https://github.com/maik/xml-simple/blob/master/README. It says
"XmlSimple is Copyright (c) 2003-2012 Maik Schmidt. It is free software, and may be redistributed under the terms specified in the COPYING file of the current Ruby distribution."
Is that sufficient?
Best, Maik

I'd love to get it via rubygems, which currently does not show the license https://rubygems.org/gems/xml-simple

Hi Michael!
I'm afraid I still cannot follow. In the gemspec file I set license to 'Ruby'. Do I have to specify more than that?
Best, Maik

No, just release it :) My guess is that you recently added the license and since then not released ?
