Hi,

Since last update of duplicity, I have this message with rsync backup : File size can't be validated, because of missing capabilities of the backend. Please verify the backup separately.

Last OK version : duplicity (2.2.1-ppa202402021538~ubuntu22.04.1)

Looks to Just be an informational message

Maybe it could be filtered out somehow? I currently get this daily by mail when the backup has been made.

FYI, duplicity has committed a fix to change this message to "debug" log level: https://gitlab.com/duplicity/duplicity/-/commit/1061aeaeed96b94d3d1cb43ec201cac026d55302

+1 also experiencing this since changing boxes. Any update or way to resolve this?

I had this same issue. Looks like there is now a newer package on the PPA.

After installing 3.0.0-ppa202405291459~ubuntu22.04.1 I no longer get these informational messages.
