Roundcube automatic_addressbook plugin #594

I'd be interested in seeing the automatic_addressbook plugin (https://github.com/sblaisot/automatic_addressbook) bundled with mailinabox. This is a nice feature of gmail and maybe other webmail services so that addresses that one replies to are automatically added. I've used it on my old mail server and had no problems.

I would also like to request this be a mainstay of the application. Everytime I upgrade I lose this plugin. It's really the only one I use for roundcube so it's not a big deal but it would be nice if it was part of your standard set.

@tramtrist I am actually trying to install this right now; can you tell me the procedure you are using? The folder is owned by root but composer cannot be run by root so it's a bit confusing.

tramtrist commented 8 years ago

Honestly it's poibecause every upgrade it gets wiped out :'(

tramtrist commented 8 years ago

poibecause = pointless

Nicholaiii commented 8 years ago

Well, I'd rather have to do it again than miss out :D (But I agree, it should at least preserve composer and reinstall the plugins on updates)

Would be a very useful plug in - does anyone knows if there is a chance that it would be included in one of the future versions?

kiekerjan commented 3 years ago

It seems roundcube is working on making it a core feature: https://github.com/roundcube/roundcubemail/issues/6904 targeting version 1.5

After it is out of beta, likely 1.5.1 or later and our addons are supported.
