Just tested a clean install without cloudpanel, I got the same results.
I‘m pretty sure it’s a configuration problem. What about the php scripts in background which does the authentification in the background? Can you see if they are executed as they should?
Maybe the same problem as in https://github.com/mailcow/mailcow-dockerized/issues/5179?!
First, I DO NOT recommend to directly login to SOGo! Especially not if you are using 2fa. (which you should!)
What happens if you login to mailcow UI first then [Login to webmail] with the button? (Make sure [SOGo] is green below! Like on this screenshot.) IMHO this is the best possible selection of permissions.
The problem you mentioned seems normal to me in case of the user does not have IMAP between the allowed protocols. (same as on the screenshot)
Could you check this with an admin user too?
