Unable to install Talon on python 3.11.4 due to dependency conflict with cchardet package

I am experiencing difficulties while attempting to install the Talon in my Python 3.11.4 environment. The installation process fails with an error related to the dependency on the cchardet package. This is the error I'm getting:

I've tried installing it on linux as well but throws the same error

cchardet is no longer maintained.

@andersk opened this PR to fix it the issue - no response yet from Talon maintainers.

As an aside, this fork is an actively maintained direct replacement for cchardet.

@rpoyau that isn't clear. Deprecated Mailgun libraries have been clearly marked as such in the docs. I've reached out directly to the Mailgun team.

I install it using pip-tools with this in requirements.in:

https://github.com/zulip/talon/archive/refs/tags/zulip-25522.zip#egg=talon-core&subdirectory=talon-core

Which gets turned into this in requirements.txt:
