I fixed two import issues (first two commits) and removed unused imports (last commit).
Following the answer in issue #24
NOTE: It is not clear for me if TB2J has a comprehensive testing suite. The only way I've tested this solution is by checking that all variables after the import removal are good and by installing the package.
