I have several cases of message I sent with Thunderbird where I am unable to check the signature with Mailvelope. Most of the time, it is because the message contains the text of previous messages but Gmail collapse this by inserting some clickable "..."
Now, I perfectly understand that this is complicated to solve for Mailvelope but a clear error message would be enough for the user to understand why the signature cannot be checked.
Currently, I get different results in Gmail and in "Inbox by Gmail".
In Gmail I get, "Error: No cleartext signed message." which is not perfectly understandable but is still fine with me.
In Inbox I get "Wrong signature of ..." which is more problematic as this means that the mail has not been sent from the right person.
It would be good if we could at least get the same error message in Inbox.
