Move to Netlify #21

Closed DEGoodmanWilson closed 4 years ago

I always forget to build for production when I push my code. Let's move to Netlify, which will handle all of that for us automatically.

simskij commented 4 years ago

Let's submit an application to their open-source program https://opensource-form.netlify.com/

webknjaz commented 4 years ago

Could as well build it in GitHub Actions and publish to GitHub Pages

Yeah, we discussed that and opted for trying out netlify.

DEGoodmanWilson commented 4 years ago

For the moment, using Netlify doesn't require us to build and maintain an action. Plus, Netlify has a lot of great features that Pages doesn't offer, like caching, DNS management, and some interesting (paid) backend tooling.

simskij commented 4 years ago

Just to be clear, I've not actually submitted an application as I was thinking that @DEGoodmanWilson might want to do that.

DEGoodmanWilson commented 4 years ago

I submitted an application :D

DEGoodmanWilson commented 4 years ago

It was approved, just need to add a link to the maintainerati page…

simskij commented 4 years ago

Awesome. Don't know how we'll do with the login. Will you send us some kind of invite to the org or how does it work?

DEGoodmanWilson commented 4 years ago

Yeah, I will create an organization and invite y'all to it.

DEGoodmanWilson commented 4 years ago

OK, we're moved to Netlify, just waiting for the open source application to close (we've been approved) so I can add y'all.

DEGoodmanWilson commented 4 years ago

Finally done, invites sent! Let me know if you didn't get one.
