Next time we have a meet up I should have some handy
Note that the vms do not include sublime (not sure of licensing requirements), or travis (as I do not know how to set travis up lol)
I have included bluefish which is like notepad++/sublime but is included in the repo (thus easier to install)
Thanks Max.
Okies, I am not sure when I will be in next, its unlikely I will be available this Friday night (and not available on wednesday/thursday)
I do not know to be honest, I haven't been able to think that far. The VMs that I am working on are client virtuals not server virtuals. Most of the CI stuff is server side (pls correct me if i am wrong @brendam )
I will need to take the time to work out how to drive CI/setup automated testing
I got a copy on my big notebook, wifi appears to be b0rked in it...... but hard wired works fine. Just gotta remember to bring a long patchlead on the weekend
Will be there tonight so bring a USB hard drive :)
Also note... no virtualbox on my notebook, it doesn't play nice with vmware on windows... I'd hate to see the tears on linux
Further to that... I worked out how to get vmware player to use a specific interface, installing vbox now.
Hello All,
Q. How do I get a copy of the VM machine onto my laptop please?
I hope to work with the dev environment (or its variants as it matures) so when we start coding at GovHack2014 I am able to contribute (as opposed to being a stand for mbainrot's ashtray).
Currently I can generate and review Python code and do basic Git synchronisation, and soon I will try my own fork. However, travis, flask, psycopg, sublime, etc. are all new to me and it would be great if I don't have to set them up - only use them - when doing our CI development.
Thanks, AL.
