assets downloaded from community not showing up in clothing geometries #222

I was adding assets to character in MakeHuman and then all of a sudden all of the clothes disappeared! even the original un-downloaded clothes. I have re-downloaded the app, started with fresh characters and I still have nothing in the clothing section of my geometries. Please help with this issue, I am stuck and can't find any answer.

If you are using the lasr release (1.2.0) rather than the nightly build, there is a fringe scenario where a broken asset will disrupt the entire asset list.

There are a few ways forward from this. Your best bet is to install the nightly build instead of the last release. The nightly build should contain a fix avoiding the problem. The nightly build can be downloaded from https://download.tuxfamily.org/makehuman/nightly/

Alternatively, if you know which assets you downloaded lately, you can try removing those. They are in DOCUMENTS\makehuman\v1py3\data\clothes. Simply delete the directory which have the name of the asset you want to remove.

Or, if you want to start over from scratch, you can download the entire DOCUMENTS\makehuman directory. This will also remove all settings and saved files though.
