MKS-Robin-E3-E3D V1.1 after marlin update boot freeze without TFT eeprom #173

My E3D V1.1 motherboard freezes after installing the latest marlin firmware without TFT card at boot menu and keeps powering the extruder. This board has a separate EEPROM. Why doesn't the eeprom work?
