Hello community,

I bought the mks robin 2.4 with the tft stm3.2“ and stepper driver DRV8825. I want to controll the nema 17 motors with the display but it isnt possible. The motors makes noises and turn back and forth from time to time. The power supply is by turning very hard, and the drivers are getting very hot. Then I always turn off the power.

I can adjust the hotend and heatbed temperature with the display but cant controll my steppers. The stepper drivers are adjusted on 0,8 V, because i use a nema 17 with 1.7A.

I use the latest update of robin 2.0.8 and tft display. Please help me what i have to do.

Ps. I want tu build a Ultimaker clone with x/y/z

Thanks

You need to see how the config file looks like. Maybe it is set really low and the board's jumpers are set for something else. If the motors are 'standard' then the wiring for each coil should be what the Robin board has.

Another possibility is the DRV8825 drivers are installed in reverse. If you have the board in your hand with the stepper terminals on the bottom, the chips should be positioned so the DIR and STEP are in the upper left while the GND is in the lower left.
