I fear some goofball at MKS has decided the Apple method is the way forward, and they are working to lock everybody into their products with their horrible dumpster fire firmware. Refusing to release some info so we can get the most popular (and functional) firmwares running on their products is a straight up braindead move. I was a fan of their convenient 8bit stuff. At least we could look at the RAMPS wiki and get an idea of what was going on in there. For the 32bit stuff, looks like Biqu/BigTreeTech is going to be the better option. Their new SKR line of boards is awesome, and they have been good about giving the info we need to use it. They are also working on a pro version that might be stm32 powered.
This is really what scares most potential buyers. I do not think that there is too much code to support the auto-level.
The code is in there since the fw is based on Marlin, they just havent seen fit to enable it for us for some dumb reason.
Would be really nice if we could enable it and compile ourselves, but seems like mks is more interested in locking down an open source fw.
Amazon reviews might get their attention.
It happened!
Congratulations!! Was it a boy or a girl?
This is the source code for Robin
If your team can't upgrade the firmware to be used bltouch your team let's share open source, we can do it ourselves
