Proposal: Perhaps one of the sharpest and most persistent criticisms of cryptocurrency is that it is rarely used to purchase physical goods. A currency is only as good as what you can buy with it, and many a crypto community member has had to scratch their heads when asked if they could spend it anywhere in the ‘real world.’ To show support for and facilitate connections between merchants willing to accept DAI and holders wanting to spend it, we should create a directory of DAI merchants as a section of the community portal. It should consist of two parts, one which gives merchants accepting DAI and looking to be listed a contact email to supply their entry details to, and the directory itself. The directory should be a grid of merchant info cards, each one containing: Business Name, Type, Website, Bio, Phone, Address

Because the landscape of the space is rapidly changing and this project is exploratory in nature, we should re evaluate the success of this directory 3 months after its development is completed and make a decision based on merchants who have signed up:

If the directory contains less than 20 physical merchants or has less than 1000 page hits, we would probably call that an underwhelming reception of the resource by the community.

If the directory contains 100 or more physical merchants or has more than 10,000 page hits we would probably call that an enthusiastic reception of the resource by the community.
