This is an improved version of #278

I agree that tests would be nice. I was looking at that but it got more complicated than I'd like due to the heavy involvement of Stripe. Most of the things that actually do something is relying on Stripe events and I didn't see a way of doing this easily.

I'll try to write some more documentation for how this is intended to work though as it might not be obvious.
