The library slackclient is a legacy library, slack-sdk is the new library according to https://slack.dev/python-slackclient/index.html.

Suggestions of functionality we need from slack-sdk.

Posting to channels
Fetching slack display name based on e-mail.
Post message to a user based on an e-mail (this could in the future be used to send reminders via Slack)
