I replaced the file as recommended by comment 48. Although now there is no
script errors the other issue persists. I can watch one movie (if I'm lucky)
and then can't load another movie or show for a while. No script error just the
loading symbol comes up and then nothing plays. Also the way I replaced the
file is by deleting the old megaroutines.py file and then dragging and dropping
the new file to replace it using Filezilla. Is that correct?

Has anyone figured out how to solve the initial issues for this thread still?
I'm having these issues still as well as per comment 23:
"I'll select a video and it may work, but if I close out of it to select a different video I get what is described in the above posts. The "Working" dialogue goes for a second and then nothing happens. Restarting the ATV2 allows me to play a single video, but upon closing it, it reverts back to the issue."
I figured out that it is definitely the modem since mine was working just fine
till upgrading my modem to the "cisco dpc3825" that rogers provided. I brought
my ATV2 to all my friends houses and it works just fine on there's as well.
I've tried every option available with this cisco modem with no luck. I'm at
the point of buying a new modem/router all together to get this working.

I just upgraded to Rogers Cable Ultimate just for icefilms. I have the ATV2 and
Cisco DPC3825 as well and have the same problems! I can only watch sometimes
and othertimes it won't load and says working for 1 sec. Anyone can suggest
settings?

That's interesting!!! I too recently had my modem upgraded by Rogers as well.
Perhaps that is the issue. Can anyone with a different router/modem confirm
that they are also having the issue?

I changed my router from a dlink to a netgear yesterday. After it was switched
thats when the problem started for me.

Try logging out of your megaupload account and using a free account. For some
reason it worked for me but my video still takes a year to buffer.

craziest thing ever. turned it on just now and everything plays and loads up at
the speed of sound. Dont know what happened but for what ever reason (nothing
to do with anything I have done or the modem)it works. yay :)

I have just read somewhere else a discussion on this between 2 people. and
they came to the conclusion that for them 99% of the problem with that if he
went to watch something and then decided to come out of it and try something
else. mega upload still thinks he is watching it and takes about 10 mins to
realise that he's not. but if he watches a programme all the way through and
then another it is fine. this makes sense for me. if i go into one then come
out try another. problem. if i watch one all the way through then another fine.
only case where this is different is tv show the big c season 2 episode 12.
always crashes really slow buffer. assuming this is just a bad source.
unfortunately i don't have a fix. but does this make sense to any one else

Interesting find - I am pretty new to the Apple Tv + xbmc and icefilms. Did
this used to happen before the newest version of Icefilms? I have no problems
using xbmc and icefilms through my computer, this only happens on the Apple Tv.

62 makes sense to me. If I bring up the extra controls by holding the
play/pause menu and hit the stop button, I dont have any issues playing another
video.

Hi guys. This is strange and I'm not altogether sure what is happening but I
had this problem, I then totally uninstalled xbmc and re installed, I tried it
a couple of times but on the last attempt no problem whatsoever

Well that's that then, megaupload is shu down by feds. Though I Hear a group
of hackers called anonymous have been taking revenge and closes down the FBI
site, government site and film institution site. Not sure how true that is but
keep it up.

Hey 54 & 55, The only way I got my icefilms working with the cisco dpc3825
modem (Well untill the recent shutdown of MegaVideo) was bridging and disabling
the wireless functions on it and using it strictly as a modem and attaching my
own router. This is all right within the options once you log in to it.
Apparently the router functions of it block certain streaming applications
sites use which is why some sites worked and some sites didn't.
Took me a week to sort this out and the night I do, the Feds shut down the
associated sites the day after... go figure.

I have the same problem with my jailbroken Apple TV 2 4.4.4. I read the news
about megaupload this morning and now I have to watch videos on my XBMC in
IceFilms via 2Shared files. I tried one movie and it worked. But when I tried a
different one, it will say "working" on the bottom right of my screen. It will
"work" for like 10 seconds but then it'll be gone. It won't play any 2shared
files. HELP PLEASE??

Yer I have seen that, not sure how lagit that is and not sure how that will
work. Start uploading files all over again. Surely they can't have access to
enough servers in such a short time and who is doing it? Hope its true though,
looks the part but anyone could have built that site in a couple of hours. Ice
is working fine for me at the moment though.

Bump. Allow XMBC.exe trough your firewall if you have the "working" issue. It
fixed the problem for me.
The reason that people start their computer one morning and find that icefilms
suddenly works is probably because XBMC tried to update itself (noob talking).
Thus a new rule was created in the firewall, allowing the program to connect to
the network...
