Recent items list not updated #19

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open any kind of content
2. Go to the content selection menu, item appears in recent items list
3. Close and reopen application. Recent items list is not updated

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The previously opened content should show up on the recent items list.

Please use labels and text to provide additional information.

This should be fixed in r106, a segmentation fault was occurring when the app 
was closing down, preventing recent list from being saved.
