problem making a payment #50

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago

I tried registering SubDownloader because my trial expires in six days.
After I entered all of the relevant payment info a message informed me that
PayPal would not complete the transaction with the credit card I had and
asked for a different card. This is a problem I have had with PayPal for
years with this card. It is my only credit card and I have used it
successfully for years on the internet so long as payment does not go
through PayPal. Is there a way I can register with my card without PayPal?

Thanks,

James Ruhl

I think that we can arrive to some agreement, we like the OpenStreetMap site, if
you'll be able to participate geolocating many streets, etc , we'll give you a
license os SubDownloader.

Which are do you live ?

Best Regards.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay replying.

I am from the US, but live in Vienna and am currently in Crete for several
months.

Please explain your proposal further. It sounds interesting.

Thanks,

James Ruhl

It's great that you are going to Crete, I've never been and it sounds a
wonderful city.

I will explain more my suggestion.

In this address:
http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=35.33132&lon=25.14&zoom=15&layers=B000FTF

You can see the Crete map, if you create a user and edit streets of the capital
(puting names, etc) or for example if you have a GPS mobilephone or something to
record GPS traces and upload them to the OpenStreetMap.org site, you can
contribute
to improve their database.

Once you show us your history profile on OpenStreetMap after collaborating
there,
we'll be very glad to give you a license.

Best Regards.
