Hello,
Why not put the Space key for instead of the "insert" Key for amstrad emulation? Because this is stupid to keep it like that, who many should ask before obtaining something logical?
Also, no one replied to the 2nd question: Also, on a TRUE amstrad emulation, you could do THIS:
Type CAT (for catalogue) then maintain SHIFT, USE ARROW To GO on name given by the Cat, then click multiple times on "COPY" of the amstrad keyboard, it would type automatically the name of the disk....Then once written on screen do: CONTROL+LEFT CURSOR+COPY so it would launch DIRECTLY the game! This cannot be done on the emulator, this is SO sad!!

FIRST BUG: The BACKSPACE on keyboard doesn't work for me inside the interface.
The reason for that is, Amstrad introduced a new CLR
key that displaces the DEL
key:
So for the CPC 6128 you'll have to press the nearest key to the right (Insert
) to delete, since MAME is supposed to have the keys in the same physical order... with the exception of the \ '
and Right Shift
keys here, for some reason?
2 Maintain SHIFT then move a phantom cursor to go on the name of the game on the catalogue, put the cursor at first letter Then hit the "COPY" button on the amstrad until the complete name is written by cursor number one (not the phantom one), 3 then do a combinaison of those 3 KEYS: "CONTROL+LEFT CURSOR+COPY", that would create a RUN" AUTOMATICALLY in front of the name and the game launch!!! HURRAH....3 seconds to launch any game!!
Joysticks are by default always mapped to the keyboard's arrows, Control and Alt keys. You just have to go to the Input Settings/Input Assignments (this system) menu and delete the joystick mappings so that they don't interfere with the keyboard emulation.
Hello,
Is there no way to make them play on both on the same time??

Moving the joystick makes the Amstrad CPC print an arrow character on screen which you'd have to delete every time you press your keyboard arrow keys to move the cursor, so no. You need to unmap the joystick from your arrow keys if you want to do this.
MAME version
MAME 0.267
System information
Windows 10 [version 10.0.19045.4651]
INI configuration details
Emulated system/software
Amstrad CPC
Incorrect behaviour
When I launch the amstrad blue screen via for example: mame cpc6128 -flop1 "ROMS\Cpc6128\arkanoid.dsk
FIRST BUG: The BACKSPACE on keyboard doesn't work for me inside the interface.
Also, on a true amstrad CPC you would do this procedure to easily "load a game" you could do this that cannot be done on the mame emulator:
1 you would type CAT (for catalogue) then "enter" (with this, by doing CAT you know the game doesn't launch with "ùcpm" command ) , if it set fail to read drive, it would be the ucpm command to launch the game.
It is the number 2 and 3 of course that are MISSING in the emulation of the amstrad emulator
Expected behaviour
You should be able to run anygame with the combinaison of key i've written the procedure
Steps to reproduce
to reproduce this step, launch any mame command amstrad emulator interface and it seems it's the same in all
