I think this is a good feature!
Maybe we can add a button in the 'config' page that Nukes it, and transitions the database back to it's default state, with a confirmation dialog before? It will need both server and client work to work. Good suggestion!
Anyone want to try and tackle?
I may have a try at this on the weekend, it just depends on if I can find some free time!
That'd be great! Keep this thread updated if you can and you can always put a link to your fork on here as well!
when you own the database you just can nuke the database from the database admin panel, and goblin is smart enough already to recreate the database automatically for you, we don't want a weapon of mass distraction in the house just in case, do we?
That's a good point @SotiriosVrachas --the more I think on this the more I get weary of it since it's promoting destructive editing. If a user is an advanced user they would be able to clear it really easily via couch, so this would only be used by non-advanced users, which could open up a can of worms.
@Harry-Torry thank you for the suggestion though! We'd still love to have you involved and contribute, though I think I'm going to put the breaks on this feature for a bit.
Closing issue for now.

Streetlight: However, I like you're idea of a reset button if it's extended to reset the entire site. Even as a standalone feature, if you just want to reset the database and start over again (sometimes you just want to nuke the site!).
Harry-Torry: For now then, it won't be a problem! I do like the idea of a 'nuke' button, you should call it a NUGE. Nu-Goblin, New Goblin.
