Is the only dependency the commented themes? #17

I'm trying to find the dependency between AcademicMarkdown and MarkdownEditing (because I need to fix how lists are defined). Is the only actual dependency in the themes that have been commented out?

Or is the dependency a "recommended" dependency, as in that AcademicMarkdown provides a modified .tmLanguage but the idea is for the user to use the keyboard bindings etc from MarkdownEditing?
