I did try to build on Ubuntu 22.04 but it has several problems:

m4/gnulib and glibc 2.3.4, binary operator missing (https://github.com/aodzip/buildroot-tiny200/issues/17), solved by upgrade to 1.4.19
fakeroot, '_STAT_VER' undeclared, solved by upgrade to 1.34
libsim.so, multiple definition, in gdb, solved by applying this patch: https://sourceware.org/legacy-ml/gdb-patches/2019-12/msg00250.html

now the build was success on my machine.
