mangui commented 10 years ago

merci pour le soutien ! stay tuned

samek commented 10 years ago

Will this be the new repository for HLSprovider ? I cant really understand longtail people - for closing the repository. For all your work You should receive a medal not the treatment that you have.. like zloolz said "Vive Mangui"

mangui commented 10 years ago

thanks @samek ! I plan to setup here a new repo without jwplayer support

myarcane commented 10 years ago

Hi @mangui,

Yes ! This is a great a news.

Merci encore :).

dighan commented 10 years ago

Fantastic work. Keep going, you rock!

devmondo commented 10 years ago

@samek

same thing i said in a post in the old reposotory, and again i say i stopped my account there and will never buy from them again, and already started shifting to VideoJS, now this move part of it is to stand for my rights and refuse such practices and the other part is to stand with @mangui for his awesome work.

@mangui god bless your efforts and hope you give us some more VideoJS love :)

adamscybot commented 10 years ago

@mangui your continued work on this is very much appreciated!

mangui commented 10 years ago

thanks all !

matiaspl commented 10 years ago

By the way, how come writing 3rd party plugins infringes JWPlayer rights? Shame on LongTail Video for cowardly firing DMCA on HLSProvider...

ankurss commented 10 years ago

I have cancelled my jwplayer enterprise license, because of pathetic tactics by longtailvideos; when they know their own hls implementation is extremely poor.

stevemayhew commented 10 years ago

We prefer standard HTML5 Video interface (MediaElement) using your https://github.com/mangui/mediaelement player to JWPlayer. Happy to help out making that player solid.

BTW, we tried enterprise JWPlayer, it would not play our live HLS stream out of the box (HLSProvider did) and their support was minimal. So, don't worry about them, keep up the good work.

Hi @mangui,

I was looking into using your library in a project. I'm happy to help if there's work needed to repackage your distribution w/out the jwplayer plug-in.

Feel free to contact me.

Mangui I will post here too. You make perfect solution.

iongion commented 10 years ago

Maybe one day you will want to elaborate more on this issue. Until then, your software is magnificent and took a lot of us out of trouble. In this regard, do you have a donation page, some place where we can support you ? :+1:

mangui commented 10 years ago

tks @iongion ! there is a paypal donation link here : http://flashls.org/#donation cheers, Mangui

Hi @mangui, thank you for the migrating the original HLSProvider, it is very great project. For example, JW Player (Enterprise) does not manage correctly anamorphic pixels in streams and the behaviour differs with h.264 profiles (The High profile is always automatically stretched to 16:9 and the Main profile is always automatically stretched to 4:3 (regardless the SAR settings)). This plugin works!

sydcanem commented 10 years ago

Thanks for reviving the plugin @mangui.
