Ureaded sms counter still appears after popup

When a new sms arrives PopUp revelas. But even if i delete this sms it still 
appears on lock screen and in the unread sms counter on the home screen. This 
only can be fixed by opening general sms list. And when i open sms list i can 
catch the dissapearing of deleted by Popup SMS. See attach for better 
understanding my english)

Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman WT19i
Android 2.3.4
SMS Popup 1.2.4

Yeah, "Mark as read" ("Отметить прочитанным") is turned ON!

I am having same issue.

LG Enlighten on Verizon Network running Gingerbread 2.3.4. SMS popup version 
1.2.4.

Guys, guys...read this:

Regardless of whether this is Samsung, HTC or Motorola...any custom SMS count 
will most likely not get updated when a SMS message is marked read or deleted.
