Your mplayer is compiled incorrectly, or is missing some features..

Mplayer reports this message

MPlayer was compiled without streaming (network) support.

Which is why this fails.

Thank-you for your help, I recompiled mplayer with network and live support. I
am to
play streams from nasatv. I can play streams in gnome-mplayer from the command
line.
I am able to play streams with the gui interface after clicking on it to play
about
two to three times. I can not play streams from the apple.com/trailers. It
starts
to load, then it starts to load cache, then it restarts to load cache and then
nothing happens. I attached a new gnome-mplayer -v url file.
