Preparation:

-Import a picture or PDF -Go into hOCR, PDF mode -start recognize

Now in the tree section (right side) right click on the very first main entry in the tree. There we can choose "add text-block" (and "add graphic box")

Question: I have understood the function of "add graphic box". This is useful, when we want to export a reconstructed PDF. This way we can choose which graphics we want to take over.

add text-block: When I choose "add text-block, I am able to created a new additional text-block. But for what is it good for.

I have tried to add a text into this text-block, but was not successful. Can I use this manual created text-block for text recognition? If yes: How?

Can you please give me an example, what I can now make with this text-block? For what is it useful in which situation?

Unfortunately, I have not found anything in the user manual. Have I overlooked it?

Would appreciate an answer. Thank you.

Sorry for the late reply - it's a niece functionality for situations where you want to manually add a text-block (and within the text bloc, you can then add paragraphs -> lines -> words), i.e. if something went lost during OCR.

Thank you. I have tried this out.

I was able to create a "textblock". -But I can not write something into the Box on the left side. -I can not write in something on the right side under the tab "property". -And I can not write in something on the right side under the tab "source".
