Using v1.37.1419
When I press win + X on my Win8.1 machine from the desktop an "advanced menu"
popup appears at the lower left corner of the screen. However, when I am
connected to that computer via Microsoft RDP from my Android device I cannot
duplicate this action with Hackers Keyboard. When I press the meta button the
bar within the button lights up to indicate it has been selected, but when I
press X the menu doesn't pop up. Holding down the meta button and pressing X at
the same time doesn't work either.
I have been testing with the five row keyboard. A functional workaround for me
is to bring up the "special keys bar" in RDP available by pressing the menu
button on my device while in RDP. From there I can press the "Windows" button
then press X on the keyboard and it opens the advanced menu as expected.
In addition, there appears to be no way to bring up the metro interface "start
menu" which is normally accessed by pressing the "Windows key" without pressing
an additional key. The workaround is, once again, to bring up the RDP program's
"special keys bar" and press the Windows button on that bar twice.
