Images not showing while upgrading from 1.14 to 2.8.10

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.i have upgraded from 1.14 to latest one.
2.the 1.14 vesrion is fixed version 
(http://code.google.com/p/timthumb/issues/detail?id=56)
3.degrading works fine, 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
i want to see thumbnails, but cant see any images as thumbnail,

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
operating system is ubuntu 10.10, ram is 1GB, 

Please provide any additional information below.
only fixed version worked with me, anything other not working with me
