I use ConnectBot to establish an SSH tunnel to my router at home. When I'm in
the Internet the DNS name is resolved to the oficial IP-Adress 89.x.x.x. When
im connected to my LAN via WLAN the hostname of my router is resolved to
192.168.x.x.
When I'm at home and I change my network access from GPRS to WLAN then of
course the connection is lost.
As I selected "Stay Connected" in the host settings I would expect that
ConnectBot tries to reconnect to my router - now with the internal IP-Adress
instead of the external one used via GPRS. But there is no reconnection at all.
(Reconnection works fine if I do not change my network access.)
If I try to reconnect manually the hostname is still reserved to the external
IP-Adress unless I kill the ConnectBot task and restart the programm. I guess
this is due to DNS-Caching.
Would it be possible to initiate a reconnect if the network is changed and
additionally to deactivate DNS-Caching (e.g. as option in the host settings?
Im using Version 1.6.2 (r480 2010.02.12)
Thanks.
Stephan
