When I'm using my Pinephone Pro in a WiFi-Network, where you have to log in past the usual WiFi-Key, to accept the Terms of Service, like in many public networks, the phone does not enter supend. I reckon, that this is due to the fact, that the phone shuts off the WiFi temporarily, resulting in the phone losing the connection to the network. When it reconnects in suspend, it can't connect to the internet, which results in a push notification, and wakes up the phone from suspend. This results in a much higher energy consumption.
