I would be very interested in a "Matomo" backend for Mattermost, as a plugin:

Mattermost is mainly a single page application ; tracking this application class may require some precautions : https://developer.matomo.org/guides/spa-tracking
tracking from server log is not so accurate ; need to add many filters ; may be not real-time.
