Hi, you might be interested in this batch of patches - it's a little bit of everything...

(I used your branch as a base for development as I couldn't get frab/frab to work correctly)

Bugfixes:

• Lots of fixes for exceptions
• Allow creating conferences with only one day
• Make PDF export work nicely with more rooms (at least up to 5 is looking fine now)
• HTML validity fixes
• Many more small fixes

Translation:

• Complete German translation for the public parts

New features:

• Better support for conferences with only one day (replace strings "Day 1" etc. with just "Schedule" when only one day is defined
• Better support for conferences without tracks (don't show track column in tables when no tracks are defined, allow setting a conference color that is used as default color for events without tracks set)
• Allow adding separators to days

Separators will cause the public schedule code to start a new table, only including the rooms that are are actually used in each part. This can be useful when a room isn't used for a long time. An example can be seen at http://frab.metameute.de/de/nook2012/public/schedule/0 .

I'm not entirely happy with the separators yet, for two reasons:

• The conference day settings page has become a bit confusing
• Events spanning the separators aren't handled well in the public schedule

I hope I didn't make any stupid mistakes, this is the first time for me working with Rails...

Hi,

Thanks for this huge contribution. I should be able to merge/cherry-picking this over halloween.

I'll probably skip the separatos for now. They sure look good, though. But I hope to have a plugin-enabled frab by the beginning of next year and this feature sounds like a great plugin.

I managed to merge everything, but the schedule separators.

I think it would be nice to have the separation done automatically, if the talk is at the beginning or the end of a day and has no other talks next to it? That would not require a new configuration dialogue and could be done in the views alone.
