ADD ability to copy selected text

use case

I'm reading a tutorial and wanna copy a command (to blindly paste to / as root :D) A: I select the text and hit Ctrl+C B: I select the text and hit Command+C C: I select the text and right click mouse menu → copy

expected behavior

it copies the text

actual behaviour

Medium displays its little Pencil + Twitter icon where you selected the text and also, to add insult to injury, unselects the text. A,B,C does not copy anything
