Shadow builds broken because of sharing object files[PATCH] #699

Putting object files in the source directory makes shadow building
impossible. This makes it harder to do cross-platform development.

I don't know what the original problem was, so I have no idea if the
attached patch works for that, but it makes shadow builds work again.
