Errors in muon sequential fit #33306

Closed AnthonyLim23 closed 1 year ago

AnthonyLim23 commented 2 years ago

When doing a sequential fit in the muon GUI's, errros are not presented.

A user has suggested that for 1.23 \pm 0.05 we write it as 1.23(5). However, this would be different from the convention used elsewhere in Mantid. We would also need to be mindful of the case when the error is larger than the value.

I have had a think about this and it could add lots of instability. It would require us to remove the double validator and then if the "error" part was passed to fit everything would crash
