Area Naming #38

I use the Omni Pro II just for the alarm system component. Right now, I arm and disarm "Area 1". With this I can set my home to Night, Away, Off, etc. It is possible to rename "Area 1" to "Alarm"? Every time I reboot by server I have to rename it. I also have to read to it any scenes I am using it with such as "Goodnight". Any thoughts on this?

Hi @robertc-avguy, Where are you seeing the "Area 1" name? Is it in the Home iPhone app, or the Homebridge Accessories page? If it's within the Home app then rebooting Homebridge shouldn't reset the name. For me I renamed the "Security System" accessory once and its remained the same ever since.

FYI, the "Area 1" name is used by the plugin as a default when the Area has no name defined. Maybe you could give it a name using the "PC Access" Windows app, but you'd need to remove the plugin and add it back again so it would pick up the new name.
